This lively and engaging book contains true stories of courage written by the young people of Six Nations, Brantford and Caledonia. They describe how they were allies and how others were allies for them. They continue to use their leadership to inspire others to stand up as allies and make their schools and communities more caring, safe and inclusive.

Jean Vanier Presenting With Smart Board

I love how effectively Community Builders youth leaders bring powerful ideas about inclusion and equity to their peers and others in their community. In this photo, students from Jean Vanier Catholic School in Brantford are teaching about being allies and unraveling conflict in ways that keep everyone’s dignity in tact. They are using Smartboard technology to make their teaching resonate with their peers.

It is by the sharing of stories that we understand each other and generate compassion for each other. Community Builders diligently promoting safe and inclusive schools is to be commended!
